OC Coastkeeper Gardens, Rancho Santiago Community College

Coastkeeper Gardens are designed to improve water conservation and reduce runoff. Six primary native habitats found within Southern California serve as the Garden’s backdrop. Within these habitat areas, themed private gardens are displayed, featuring California Friendly native and drought-tolerant plants that homeowners can successfully grow in their own gardens. These garden vignettes compliment many of the common architectural and landscape design styles found within Southern California. In addition, the gardens exhibit state-of-the art drainage, irrigation and hardscape applications that promote conserving water and reducing run-off.
